It has been recently announced that a new Prada’s menswear face is Tobey Maguire. I agree. He seems to me not only a very talented and granted actor, but a very stylish and intelligent gentleman, too.
David Sims, Prada’s favourite photographer, has recently made a few shots of Tobey Maguire for Prada’s fashion campaign for fall/winter 2011-2012.
“A great supporter of the Arts, Miuccia Prada has inspired a culture of creativity that is woven through every aspect of her company, from her collections, her campaigns, to every design detail in her stores,” Maguire said in one of his interviews. “I have such admiration for her artistry and I’m thrilled to be a part of Prada’s fall campaign.” Read the rest of this entry »

One of my favourite modern fashion brands is Iceberg. It is little funky, but very stylish in its own unforgettable way.
Clothing by this fashion label looks very innovative and very urban. You may even think it is a young label. But, Iceberg was established in 1962 by Giuliana Marchini and her husband Silvano Gerani in Italy. In their fashion collections they intended to show their love for style and chic, fashion and freedom. First collections had a touch of creaftman-like care on them. Originally, it was a fashion label which was designing menswear only. Later, it expanded to women’s wear through knitwear. Years after years, Iceberg was looking for more and more opportunities to expand its business. It’s an update to our last week article about Cadbury fault to associate Naomi Campbell with a bar of chocolate in
their latest ads compaign.
So, the fashion diva was so much obsessed that she announced her decision to suit Cadbury for abuse. According to the latest update, Cadbury not only removed all the provocative ads from stores, but also issued an apology to Naomi.
“Cadbury understands that our latest advertising campaign for Cadbury Dairy Milk Bliss caused upset to Naomi Campbell and her family,” a spokesperson told newspapers. ”It was not our intention that this campaign should offend Naomi, her family or anybody else and we are sincerely sorry that it has done so.” Read the rest of this entry »

It has been recently known that the royal wedding dress of Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, will be shortly displayed for public at Buckingham Palace. The dress, designed by Sarah Burton, the head of Alexander McQueen fashion label, will be a part of Buckingham Palace Annual Summer opening (July 23 – October 3).
Along with a dress, the silk-tulle veil and satin shoes embroidered by the Royal School of Needlework will be available at exhibition. Visitors will be also able to see diamond pearl-shaped earrings by Robinson Pelham. Catherine worn them on the royal wedding day. It was a present to her from her parents. Ups, in the recent Cadbury marketing compaign, Naomi was almost literary compared to a chocolate bar! It is very unprofessional, taking into consideration how much people in the US love courts.
So, there is no surprise that Naomi Campbell is thinking of taking a legal action against Cadbury. I agree. Her decision is absolutely right. What would you do if you hear a slogan “Move over Naomi, there’s a new diva in town” (put your name instead of Naomi to feel what she did).
“I am shocked. It’s upsetting to be described as chocolate, not just for me but for all black women and black people,” Campbell told the Daily Mail. “I do not find any humour in this. It is insulting and hurtful.” Read the rest of this entry »
